Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Pocket Grove apps collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers every app we publish; an individual app may add its own notice where it does something this policy doesn't describe.

App-specific notices: Fish Finder, BingeFree, Connect for LM Studio, Future Baby Generator AI — Pip, Foldpose (formerly Duo Cam), Lantern Night, Leafold, Voice Creator, and Koi Grove for Android. Simple Timer: versions 1.05 and 1.06 and Football Career Quest and Hoop Quest for Android are described below.

The data controller is Cong Le, trading as Pocket Grove, in England & Wales.

Simple Timer & Stopwatch — versions 1.05 and 1.06

This app-specific notice covers the released version 1.05 and the version 1.06 update. Version 1.05 removed the advertising SDK; this notice does not say that versions before 1.05 are free of advertising. For versions 1.05 and 1.06, the description below qualifies the general portfolio sections of this policy.

The timer works offline and requires no account. Timer preferences and history are stored locally on the device. Versions 1.05 and 1.06 do not include an advertising SDK; the advertising-provider descriptions elsewhere in this policy are not a description of these versions' timer.

The app is not entirely network-free. Its Settings screen can download remote app recommendation configuration hosted on GitHub and app icons from Apple. Those hosts receive ordinary connection information, such as the requesting IP address, when serving these requests. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

Opening support or store links takes you to the relevant email, website or Apple service. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond. You do not need to send student information to ask about school use.

Football Career Quest and Hoop Quest for Android

This section covers Football Career Quest version 1.0 (build 7) and Hoop Quest version 1.0.3 (build 6) for Android. It explains the billing diagnostics and developer analytics in these versions and qualifies the general descriptions below.

Both games use Google Play Billing for purchases and ownership checks. Its automatic diagnostic logging is described in Google Play purchases and billing diagnostics below. Billing connections and checks can run without you making a purchase. These games do not offer a switch to disable that SDK logging.

The analytics option in each game's Settings controls a separate Pocket Grove gameplay and reliability measurement feature. That option is off by default. Sending these developer analytics events to Pocket Grove is disabled in the versions covered here, even if the option is turned on. The option does not control Google Play Billing diagnostics.

What we collect

Information you provide

  • Content you create in an app — entries, reminders, notes, settings, photos.
  • Account details, where an app offers an account.
  • Support messages and feedback you send us.
  • Your email address and selected Quest game when you join a Quest alpha test list.

Information collected automatically

  • Device type, operating system, app version, language and region.
  • Usage events, crash diagnostics and performance metrics.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address, at country or region level.

Information from third parties

Some apps include third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, advertising or purchase management. Those providers process limited technical data under their own policies.

Our websites use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page-performance and referral measurement. Its beacon does not use cookies or collect visitors' personal data.

Where your content lives

For most of our apps, the content you create stays on your device, and syncs through your own iCloud account if the app offers sync. In those cases we hold no copy of it and cannot read it.

Where an app does store content on our servers — for example an app with a shared or multi-device feature — the app says so, and that data is held only for as long as the feature needs it.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and improve how an app works.
  • To diagnose crashes and bugs, and to prevent abuse.
  • To answer your support requests.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not buy it.

If you join a Quest alpha list, we use your email to confirm that you own the address and to contact you about testing the selected game and related Pocket Grove updates. Joining is optional; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or contact us.

Third-party services

Depending on the app, we may use one or more of the following:

  • Apple App Store — purchases, subscriptions and app delivery.
  • Google Play Billing — purchases, ownership checks, restores and billing diagnostics in Android apps that use it. See Google Play purchases and billing diagnostics below.
  • RevenueCat — subscription management, in apps that offer subscriptions.
  • Google AdMob — advertising, in ad-supported apps. Paid or Pro versions do not show ads.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics — usage insight and crash diagnostics, in apps that include them.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — aggregate website performance and referral measurement.
  • Pocket Grove store-click measurement — daily aggregate counts of which page, app campaign, button position, store platform and fixed traffic-source category were selected. When a recognised source is present, the browser keeps only that category and an expiry time in session storage for up to 30 minutes so it can survive navigation between our pages. The measurement event does not include the raw referrer, page query string, browsing history, IP address, cookie, user agent, email address or a per-visitor identifier, and our acquisition-events table does not store those fields. As with any HTTPS request, the network and server infrastructure receive ordinary transport metadata when the event is delivered.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

Google Play purchases and billing diagnostics

Android apps that offer Google Play purchases use Google's billing services to load purchase options, complete purchases and check ownership. Google handles payment through Google Play. The apps receive purchase information needed to unlock content and restore access, such as product identifiers, purchase state and purchase tokens.

Google Play Billing version 9.1, included in the Android versions of Football Career Quest and Hoop Quest described above and in Lantern Night, also automatically submits technical diagnostics to Google. These include billing-operation results and errors; app, library and Android versions; device model, manufacturer and build information; memory information; language and country settings; timezone; and network type and mobile operator information. A randomly generated identifier groups diagnostic events from the same running billing client.

This logging supports diagnosing billing-operation problems and is separate from Pocket Grove's optional developer analytics. An in-app developer analytics switch does not turn off this Billing SDK logging. For Google's information-handling policies and available privacy controls, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Retention and security

  • We keep data only as long as it is needed to run the app, meet a legal obligation, or resolve a dispute.
  • We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
  • No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
  • Alpha-list details are kept while the testing programme is active, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Under UK GDPR you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

To make a request, email [email protected]. For content held only on your device, deleting it in the app or deleting the app removes it — we have no copy to delete.

Children

Our apps are not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live, unless the App Store listing for that app states otherwise.

We may update this policy. Material changes are reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
