Voice Creator privacy notice
Last updated 27 October 2026
This notice covers Voice Creator (読み上げスタジオ - 音声合成・ナレーション), version 1.2 and later for iOS and Android, from Pocket Grove. Voice Creator requires no account and contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK. Speech is generated on your device. Optional voice downloads, purchases, review requests and anonymous usage statistics are described below.
This notice sits alongside our general privacy policy. Where they differ, this notice applies to Voice Creator. The data controller is Cong Le, trading as Pocket Grove, in England & Wales.
Scripts, projects and audio stay on your device
The text you type or paste, pronunciation edits, dictionary entries, projects, presets and generated audio are stored on your device and processed by the bundled VOICEVOX engine. Voice Creator does not upload them to Pocket Grove or to a speech service. When you export or share audio, the file goes only to the app or destination you choose in the system share sheet, which handles it under its own policies.
Voice data downloads
After you agree to download speech data, Voice Creator fetches voice model files over HTTPS from voice-assets.cong-le.com, a static file host operated for Pocket Grove on Cloudflare. The requests identify the files being downloaded and expose your IP address and ordinary connection information to the host. They do not include your scripts or audio. Selecting a voice credit or terms link opens the voice provider's website, whose policies apply to that visit.
Purchases and review requests
The optional lifetime purchase for unlimited audio exports is processed by the App Store or Google Play. Pocket Grove does not receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase with the store on your device.
After a successful audio export, the app may ask the system to show a rating request. Apple or Google decides whether to display it, and any rating or review you submit is handled by that store.
Anonymous usage statistics
To learn which features are used and where people get stuck, Voice Creator sends a small number of usage events to Pocket Grove's own analytics service at accounts.cong-le.com. This is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage statistics. Turning it off stops new events and deletes any events not yet sent.
Each event contains only:
- the event type, such as app opened, session started or ended, audio generated, audio exported, the daily export limit reached, a rating request, or purchase and restore steps and their outcome;
- short fixed values such as the product, a broad file-count range (1, 2–5 or 6+) or an error category;
- app version and build, platform, operating-system major version, device class (phone or tablet) and language/region setting;
- a random installation identifier and a random session identifier created by the app.
Events never include your scripts, readings, file or project names, audio, voice choices, account or advertising identifiers, or purchase receipts. They are not used for advertising or tracking and are not sold or shared with third parties. The service necessarily receives your IP address when the connection is made; it is not stored with the events. Raw events are kept for 90 days; after that only anonymised daily totals are kept, for up to 24 months. Builds used for development and testing do not send events.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app, balanced by the limited, pseudonymous data and the opt-out above. To ask about or delete data linked to an installation identifier, contact us at [email protected].
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes your scripts, projects, audio and downloaded voice data from the device. Exported files you saved elsewhere are not affected.
